A Message from the Mayor
A few years ago, outgoing Mayor Jeff Sander handed me a thrilling project. He asked me to oversee the transformation of the 4 acres of Lovelady Powell's property, along with the adjoining 6 acres of CPF land (complete with a pond), into a community gathering space. We immediately got to work. We formed a 501c3 for the park and trails to insure any donations were tax deductible. North Haven's own Sam Panton created the space for us. The Jackson Dodds Company donated their time and materials to clear invasive growth, create paths, and plant 1,500 shrubs and trees around Cilli Pond. 90% of the work in the park to date has been donated by very generous people — and we as a community are most grateful. John Hovekamp is the financial director of the park 501, and will be our go to person for donations. There are big projects and small opportunities and all will be acknowledged. Thanks for all your support for this effort over the past three years.
Much Appreciated!
Chris Fiore, Mayor
A Message from the 501c3
Hello all — From the dedication of individual trees, to benches, the garden shed and the apple grove, as well as the footbridge and pollinator garden, every dollar will be acknowledged and put to good use. Families, friends, groups, foundations, and perhaps HOAs might consider these efforts and help us complete this wonderful project.
We need your help. Many thanks!
John Hovekamp, Finance Director
